bizdev GmbH was founded by Dirk Schwartz as a consultancy and investment company in 2000. Since then, he has been the sole general manager and shareholder of the company.

bizdev has invested in more than 50 internet and mobile startups since 2000. In addition to this, bizdev has assisted venture capital firms in the selection and assessment of startups.

Since 2016, bizdev has gradually pulled out of its smaller investments and no longer assumes new advisory roles.

It now only invests in companies within the context of existing partnerships or if the significance of the idea demands an exception.

    Schwartz GM GmbH is a real estate developer wich purchases, restores, and modernizes valuable old buildings - usually protected as landmarks - with the aim of long-term value preservation. To promote cultural activities and environmental protection, Schwartz FM also founded the Hainbachtal Foundation in Gleisweiler in 2017.

    Chrono24 was founded by bizdev, FoundersPark and M. Krkoska in 2010 and has since then become the world’s leading marketplace for luxury watches. Until 2016, Dirk was co-CEO of Chrono24. Today, he is serving the company as Founder & Advisor. Chrono24 has more than 300 employees and offices in Karlsruhe, Berlin, Chemnitz, New York, and Hong Kong.
